Principal's Message

Welcome to Canyon Middle School, home of the Condors!  It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your principal.  I’m proud to share that our school community serves nearly 1,300 students in grades 6-8 and their families, with the goal of promoting excellence in every student in an inclusive and responsive environment where all means all.  Our Condors SOAR by demonstrating values of Safety, Organization, Achievement, and Respect, and are supported by a network of dedicated staff members throughout their middle school journey!

My goal as principal is to ensure that all students will be successful and that all families feel connected and supported by our Canyon team.  Middle school is a time of many changes, opportunities, and new experiences and we are committed to working together so that every student SOARs!  Canyon has been honored as a California Distinguished School as well as a National School to Watch for its work in supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of our students.  These accomplishments are made possible through the positive partnerships between school staff, families, and the community. Together, we are committed to utilizing a multi-tiered system of support model to promote academic excellence and effective social-emotional learning for every student at every level.  We invite students and families to get connected and stay involved throughout the year.
