Castro Valley Unified School District Appoints
Desirae Feria
for
Assistant Principal/Athletic Director - Castro Valley High School
Castro Valley, CA – (August 14, 2024) – At the August 14th board meeting, the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education took action to select Desirae Feria as the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Castro Valley High School.
Ms. Desirae Feria has worked in education for 16 years as a Physical Education Teacher and Supervisor. While at San Francisco Unified School District, she provided structural planning for all school sites, including scheduling, sports equipment, budget planning, and professional development. In her most recent role as a Physical Education Supervisor, Ms. Feria supervised 72 school sites and staff. She ensured that the staff taught a standards-based curriculum, followed the California Education Code, and coordinated district wide events for 5,000 students to participate in.
Ms. Feria holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology - Physical Education and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction.
